Mentoring Skills for Seniors

This course empowers seniors aged 50 and above to become para life coaches and mentors for children aged 9 to 12. Participants will develop mentoring and coaching skills to positively influence young lives through meaningful connections and social engagement. In addition to strengthening mentorship capabilities, this training opens pathways for seniors to pursue fulfilling roles either as volunteers or in flexible second-career options. Whether looking to give back to the community or explore new job opportunities, seniors will leave equipped with the skills and confidence to inspire and guide the next generation.

Carolynne Ng
Carolynne Ng has over 25 years of experience across various industries and in the last 5 years, she actively develops and facilitates programs for older adults to be engaged physically and socially for community interaction in the social sector. She holds a master’s in professional education (NTU-NIE), Graduate Diploma in Social Work (SUSS), Specialist Diploma in Gerontology (Optimal Ageing Practice) with Temasek Polytechnic and Bachelor of Business with University of Technology, Sydney. She is also certified Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) Facilitator and obtained ACTA and Advanced Certificate in Career Development Facilitation (ACCDF). Her current work includes partnerships with community organizations and training roles with CFS.Kenneth Soh
Kenneth Soh is an inspiring coach and trainer who believes in “pay-forward’ with the passion of educating society on soft skills, family life matters and the environment. He has a diploma in Leadership and People Management with Design Thinking Approach and is certified facilitator in practical counselling, family life education, working with children and parent facilitation training.
