享用肉干年糕 长者应注意什么?

农历新年转眼快到,许多人已经开始“放纵”,开怀大吃肉干、年饼和年糕。爱龄雅居(Allium Healthcare)高级首席营养师詹玛丽安(音译,Mary-ann Chiam)接受《活得好》采访时提醒,要享佳节美食又不损健康,控制分量是关键。
肉干富含糖、盐以及饱和脂肪,会对心脏、肾脏和血压指数造成负荷。
此外,肉干由于质地的关系,年长者可能难咀嚼,增加噎着的风险。对于想要吃肉干的年长者,詹玛丽安建议,分量限于80克至100克,也就是约一张扑克牌的大小。
年糕含大量糖分和卡路里,如果真的要吃,建议年长者每一次只吃一小块(30克至50克)。
要提醒的是,年糕黏黏的质地,增加噎着风险,不建议有吞咽问题的年长者食用。
詹玛丽安提供大家一个控制食量的好方法,那就是使用较小的盘子来盛食物,以避免吃过量。
