This course aims to provide knowledge to seniors to make behavioural and environmental changes to improve their safety and prevent falls to protect themselves from injuries. By the end of the course, seniors will be able to list the risk factors for falls, define one serious injury due to a fall, explain the fall prevention strategies, identify at least 3 safety hazards in their homes, develop a plan to reduce their fall risks and perform a demonstration of balance and strength exercises.Course Details

Siti Hamidah Binte S. Abdullah Bahashwan
Hamidah Bahashwan, a dynamic speaker, has expertise in personal effectiveness, mental wellness, and emotional intelligence. She was a Senior Lecturer at Coleman College, teaching in the Diploma in Community Care for the Elderly program from 2019 to 2021. As a caregiver to her bedridden mother from 2017 to March 2023, she gained valuable practical experience. Hamidah holds an MSc in Applied Psychology from the University of Surrey (1995) and received training in family therapy, child development, and family work.
