Parental Guidance
Artie Decker, played by comedian Billy Crystal, used to be a minor-league baseball announcer so focused on his job that he became estranged from his daughter, Alice. When Alice calls up her parents one day and asks them to watch over her three kids, Artie’s wife, Diane, considers this an opportunity to spend time with their grandkids and mend fences with their daughter. But Artie finds it hard to adjust to being a grandfather and reconnect with Alice, who herself has trouble letting go of her kids to her parents…
A heartwarming movie about a family trying to come together amidst the differences and changes that are forcing them apart, Parental Guidance will make you laugh and cringe at the Deckers’ antics, and tug at your heartstrings at the same time. It’s a great movie to be enjoyed by the whole family.
