年长者脱水风险更高

我们都知道为身体补充足够水分很重要。咖啡和茶是饮料,多喝是否也有助于补充水分呢?《活得好》请黄廷方综合医院营养师吴恩琪解析。
营养师吴恩琪说,咖啡、茶和罐装饮料的确是水分的来源,但这些饮料通常含有咖啡因或添加糖,不宜多喝。
咖啡和茶里的咖啡因具有温和的利尿作用,可能导致排尿更频繁,不过,除非长期大量喝,否则,一般不会导致脱水,所以不必过于担心。
饮用含糖饮料,则会增加肥胖、糖尿病和心血管疾病的风险。
对于年长者,若觉得白开水淡而无味,可适量饮用的替代品包括:水果风味水(把水果泡在白开水直至果味渗出,fruit infused water)、无糖或零热量饮料,以及无糖茶饮(生姜茶、香茅茶或菊花茶)
提醒!随着年龄增长,对口渴感觉可能变得没那么敏感,因此一些年长者即使体内缺水也不察觉,脱水风险也更高。即使不感到口渴,也要留意可能脱水的迹象:疲劳无力、头痛、头晕、口干、较少排尿和尿色深。
