This course covers the fundamentals of dementia and allows participants to better understand dementia; the different types of dementia, its signs and symptoms and the modifiable risk factors. It will also equip participants with the knowledge of how dementia is diagnosed and what to do upon diagnosis.

Dahliyah Hamid
Dahliyah is an active dementia advocate certified with Dementia Care Mapping (Basic User) by University of Bradford, trained in Person-Centered-Care approach with Dementia Singapore and awarded the Certificate in Dementia (Advanced Level) with Glasgow College and The Salvation Army Peacehaven.
She is an ACLP certified adult educator and has a Masters degree in Business Administration. Dahliyah has spent more than 24 years working in a Global Life Science company in Corporate Health and Safety functions.
She is an active volunteer in several NGOs and had served 8 years as a board member in one of the organisations.
