Welcome to the 'Seniors as Buddies: Strengthening Community Ties' Programme. Don Yew
Don, a dedicated community leader, began his volunteer journey at 16 with the People's Association (PA) Youth Movement. During National Service, he volunteered for a UN Humanitarian Mission in East Timor, earning recognition with awards. He later joined the PA to deepen his community development work, ultimately advancing his career. Don's commitment led to a Master's in Community Leadership and Social Development from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. With a decade of experience in community management, he transitioned to social services, addressing caregiving and aging challenges. In 2017, Don joined SAGE Counselling Centre and completed a Master's in Gerontology at NTU in 2020. Currently, he serves as a grassroots leader and enjoys interests in running and online gaming.Don Yew
