This course addresses the emotional challenges that arise when a loved one experiences significant health changes. Participants will explore effective strategies to support their loved ones in expressing their feelings while also recognizing their own emotional responses. Recommended for individuals, caregivers, family members and social service workers who need the knowledge and skills to facilitate the journey together with their loved ones.

Dan Ng
Dan is the Assistant Director of LBSA, HOD over Counselling, Research, Training & Volunteer Management departments. Dan has over a decade’s experience in the social sector and holds two Master’s Degrees in Social Science and Gerontology. He is a registered Counsellor (RegCLR) and Clinical Supervisor (RegClinSup) with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). Dan is also ACLP and ACP/PPC trained. He is passionate about serving the elderly and believes in developing strong therapeutic relationships/alliances with his clients. He was also an ex-EXCO member of SAC and served as its 2nd Vice President, among other responsibilities.Shanon Lim
Armed with years of working in corporate and social services with organizations such as YWCA, SUN-DAC Centre and SG Enabled, Shanon specializes in the service scopes of Intellectual Disability, Youth-at-risk, Career Coaching and Environmental Space Safety. Shanon holds a Master's in Social Science (Counselling) and a Bachelor's in Science (Applied Psychology). He is currently a Case Manager with Lions Befrienders and is certified in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and Family Systemic Therapy.Muhammad Qayyum Bin Norshapiee
Muhammad is an experienced Counsellor with many years of experience in Social Work, Counselling and Befriending in the social service industry. He holds a Master's in Counselling (Flinders University), is ACTA certified, and specializes in the ministering of Grief and Loss teaching.
