This course aims to introduce basic embroidery techniques in the form of floral and botanical patterns. It is suitable for anyone with or without sewing experience. Through hands-on practice and live demonstrations, learners will learn 10 to 15 types of embroidery techniques. A canvas bag is used as the base for the embroidery designs, and the learners can take it home with them after the course.

Cheryl Tan
Cheryl is a textile artist with a passion for design and craft. Her craft is deeply inspired by her Peranakan roots and characterised by the use of beadwork and vibrant colours. Upon completing her Fashion Design degree at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), she now has close to a decade of experience in apparel design, graphic work, prop production and visual display styling. Cheryl has worked for the home-grown label hansel and global brands such as H&M, Triumph and Casio.
