Achieve Brain Plasticity through Dancing (Level 1)

An introduction to the theory behind brain plasticity and its relationship with healthier ageing; with practical knowledge to improve brain plasticity taught through dance. By the end of the course, participants will learn how to identify the key elements of good body posture, identify self-balance in motion or stationary, minimise one’s risk of falls, learn and apply exercises which improve posture and balance, recognise different movements of the hip and joints, develop an appreciation for music and movement and learn a full dance routine. Throughout the course, participants will engage in dance practicals using SAMBA, Cha Cha etc.

Benedict Lau
Benedict Lau, with over 20 years of experience in dance and fitness, has taught at clubs, community centers, and schools. A NTU Mechanical Engineering graduate, he holds UK ISTD Latin and Ballroom certifications and additional qualifications in dance safety and geragogy. Lau has represented Malaysia in SEA and Asian Games, achieving top rankings including No.1 in Malaysian Latin dance and numerous international awards.Reviews on Course
