Intergenerational Learning Programme (ILP)

Council for Third Age (C3A) aims to cultivate the concept of lifelong learning and active living in seniors while enhancing mental and social wellbeing. This way, they continue to lead active and purposeful lives.

C3A's Intergenerational Learning Programme (ILP), developed in April 2011 as a pilot initiative, provides a platform to seniors to pursue lifelong learning by promoting community-based lifelong learning in Singapore. Inspired by Hong Kong's Elder Academy scheme, C3A created a classroom-based intergenerational learning programme that matches senior learners with youth who act as "teachers" to them.
