This program aims to bring participants into a deeper understanding of soil health for edible growing, building upon basic knowledge of what makes up soil (covered in Grow Your Own Food Series: Basic Gardeners’ Guide to Starting a Productive Edible Garden). Participants will learn about available soil amendments they can use to achieve a better soil structure, common nutrient deficiencies and ways to remedy them, and the soil ecosystem that they can nurture to improve soil health.
