Ever wondered how illustrators create those dreamy landscapes? In this course, students will delve into the world of gouache painting techniques and learn the intricacies of using reference photos as a guide. They will also acquire relevant skills to compose compelling sceneries, select vibrant colours, and adapt them into colourful illustrations. This course aims to provide participants with the tools and knowledge to create their captivating artworks. The themes covered include clouds, skyscapes, flower fields, mountains, and lakesides.

Shirly Koh
Shirly is an art educator and artist interested in understanding and learning more about her inner world to relate and connect better with others in this world. She has a keen interest in the everyday mundane of celebrating and appreciating the little moments in life. She is also an experienced art educator and curriculum creator for schools and corporations, with over six years of experience. She works closely with both children and adults and seeks to foster a sense of love for the arts in all her classes. She graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) iFine Art. She received the Chan Davies Art Prize 2016, UOB Painting of the Year 2016 - Emerging Artist – Silver, NOISE Singapore Award 2015 and LASALLE Future Leader Scholarship in 2013.
