This 10-week course is designed to provide insight into the targeted language and an understanding of its culture. Participants will acquire basic reading, writing, and conversational skills. This Level 1 course is designed to help students communicate in Spanish from the very first day and widen students’ perspective of the Spanish-speaking world.

Nina Melero
Nina Melero is the Convenor for Spanish language programme. She holds a MA in Applied Linguistics for Spanish Language Teaching from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija (Madrid) as well as MPhil and other certificates (MA and BA) in the field of Translation Studies from the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. She was recruited by the Centre for Language Studies at NUS in 2015 to set up and coordinate the new Spanish language programme. Prior to joining NUS, she taught at various universities in the UK, including the University of Exeter, the University of Westminster, the University of Greenwich, and the Open University.Reviews on Course
