Basic Eldercare Skills for Care Associates

This 3-day workshop aims to equip participants with the relevant basic caregiving knowledge and skills. This course can help those who intend to work as care associates in eldercare settings. At the end of the course, participants will be able to understand the nature of work and the role of a care support staff, assist the elderly in their activities of daily living; and perform the basic care skills necessary in order to work in the community care settings.

Susie Loh Fong Chee
Susie Loh is a state registered nurse since 1970. She dedicated her life as a nurse practitioner and had held various positions in public healthcare institutions from staff nurse, and nurse educator to director of nursing for more than 40 years. Her professional qualification includes a Certificate in Pedagogy, Gerontology Nursing and Postnatal Home Care. She is currently a locum nurse and delivers training in eldercare programmes.Lo Chue Har
Lo Chue Har was a nurse since 1991 at SGH, TTSH, NKF and uses her experience to impart her skills and knowledge as nursing lecturer at the ITE in 2000 for 5 years before moving on to Peacehaven Nursing Home. Chue Har is a state registered nurse and has over 10 years of teaching experience. She holds a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) and Bachelor of Nursing in Griffith University.Reviews on Course
