Course participants will gain a better understanding of a child’s emotional, social and physical development (2 years to 6 years), and learn to develop strategies to support and stimulate its growth. This includes growing the child’s confidence and preparing its transition from a home environment to a pre-school and then primary school environment. They will also learn to establish good communication links with parents and the child which are vital to the child’s well-being. Other important issues in early childhood like child safety, nutritional needs, feeding and dealing with fussy eaters will also be covered.Course Details

Fonnie Lo
Fonnie Lo is the Assistant Director, Parentcraft (Clinical) and Lactation Consultant at Thomson Medical Centre. She is a registered nurse and midwife. A graduate of La Trobe University, Australia, Fonnie has a Bachelor of Nursing. She holds a practising license for Singapore and Hong Kong and has more than 20 years of experience in taking care of mothers and their newborns.
