As an ageing society, older persons in Singapore have longer life expectancies. Many caregivers have strived to provide their aged loved ones with dedicated care in the home environment. They may not have anticipated the transitions and responsibilities of caregiving and how one has to move along with them. This workshop will equip you with the skills to understand and appreciate your motivations and meanings of caregiving. You will explore the impacts of caregiving and manage emotions related to caregiving situations. You will also understand the importance of self-care and develop plans for practising self-care in your daily caregiving routines.
