蔡志雄先生是围棋业余5段，自从2013年在新加坡围棋协会教围棋包括许多成人学者。他也自从2016年担任新加坡围棋协会理事，目前担任副秘书。他也曾担任领队带队出国比赛（中国，日本，韩国，台湾，泰国，马来西亚及文莱）。
