This 10-week course is designed to provide an insight to the targeted language and understanding of its culture. This Level 2 course is designed to help participants will be able to express themselves fluently, develop a better understanding of cultural and sociolinguistic aspects of the Tamil language.

Trainer's Profile

Dr Sandhya Singh

Dr Sandhya Singh joined the Centre for Language Studies as a full time Hindi language convenor and lecturer in 2016. She is the Convenor for both Hindi and Tamil language programmes. She is also a lecturer for Hindi. Prior to joining NUS, She was the coordinator for Hindi language programme at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) where she set up the Hindi programme. She holds a Ph.D from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), researching into “सिंगापुर में हिन्दी और भोजपुरी के विकास की दिशाओं का अध्ययन” (development of Hindi and Bhojpuri in Singapore).
