Quartet centres around a group of seniors who attempts to raise funds for Beecham House, a financially-plagued home for retired musicians, through their annual gala concert. The recital offers an opportunity for the once-famous opera quartet to reunite but the process of bringing everyone back together is fraught with old grudges and painful memories. Over a series of exchanges between the protagonists, misunderstandings are eventually resolved and the characters re-establish an emotional bond that enables them to put up a spectacular and memorable performance at the very end of the film.
Funny yet poignant, Quartet is a captivating story on reconciliation and forgiveness that will tug at your heartstrings.
