Imagine relaxing in a quiet room, with soft lighting and a sweet fragrance. With aromatherapy candles, you can do just that! In this course, you will use simple raw materials to create your own customized take-home scented candles. All the materials you will use are safe and natural, and easy to obtain. By the end, you will be able to name the essential ingredients which are required in making scented candles, articulate the physical and chemical properties of the ingredients in relation to their structures, articulate the selection of appropriate materials for making scented candles and perform the procedures necessary for the final product.

Dr Phoon Chee Wee has extensive experience in teaching Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Involved in industry R&D projects: (1) development of small organic molecules for biomaterial applications; (2) formulation of active ingredients for development of skincare products; (3) detection methods for aquaculture diagnostics.
