This is a course to understand how Music is described and how the “theories” make Music as we hear it. The approach is to use Western Music Notation to help Learners better appreciate Music. Through this course, you will understand the basics of rhythm and tempo, pitch, scales, keys, clefs, the grouping of notes and rests, words, syncopation, and conduct song analysis to appreciate music.

Desmond Moey
Desmond is very active in the music and theatre industry playing various roles as Songwriter (Music Publisher), Show Producer (Musicals, Concerts, Events), Choral Director, Coach (NUSS, SGH, TTSH, DeutscheBk RecClub). He has written and produced shows, namely, Overcome One SKM Campaign 2020, LIM BOON KENG Musical 2019, Emily Musical 2016, Glow Musical PUB 2013, Singapore NDP1997. His qualifications and formal appointments include : MA (Mass Comms, OCU USA) and MBA (NUS), MD Serenedip Showbiz aBoard Member Musical Theatre. He is an Associate Lecturer at the Republic Polytechnic, School of Technology for the Arts, Music, Creativity, Art History, World Music and has trained 200 seniors at the Creative School.
