This beginners' pencil-sketching course will teach participants techniques in sketching through the most basic medium, pencil. The course aims to equip participants with the confidence and success in not only using pencil but in other artforms like painting with watercolour or drawing with coloured pencils etc. Participants expect to gain better appreciation for pencil sketching and creating quality sketches which incorporate detail, proportion and perspectives with the relevant techniques.

Andrew Tan is an illustrator and Eisner-nominated comic artist. Andrew taught illustration and design at NAFA.Erwin Lian
Erwin is a highly experienced lecturer with over a decade of teaching experience in local institutions, specializing in Tradition and Digital Art foundation. He is an expert in live demonstrations and his artwork has been featured in various publications such as The Artist's Magazine, The Modern Met, and Watercolor Artist. In addition to teaching, Erwin also undertakes commissioned work and has completed projects for clients including NUS, Royal Bhutan Airlines, Drukasia, and Bank of Singapore. Erwin's entrepreneurial spirit led him to successfully raise over USD$100,000 through two crowdfunding campaigns in 2014 and 2015 to create The Perfect Sketchbook, a premium watercolor sketchbook designed for professional artists.Paul Lee
