Engaging Seniors through NSA e-Nuggets Series

With distancing measures and suspension of senior-centric activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, the lack of physical activity and social interaction can have a negative influence on the well-being of seniors in Singapore.
In response, the Council for Third Age (C3A) has launched a brand new series of live talks on Facebook, titled NSA e-Nuggets Series to keep seniors engaged via the digital platform. The NSA e-Nuggets Series is a series of talks on topics relating to active ageing that include health, fitness, hobbies and technology, available live on C3A’s Facebook at 2pm every Tuesday and Friday.
Recommended by her daughter Caroline to check out the live talk, Michelle Tan, a homemaker in her early 70s, went on Facebook with her daughter and watched the live talk session on ‘Fall Prevention Tips’. She was amazed at how informative the session was and acquired useful tips on how to keep herself safe and avoid pitfalls in which accidents may happen.
"The NSA e-Nuggets Series was an eye-opener and I’ve learnt how I can keep myself safe at home. Now that I’ve gained new knowledge, I can apply what I’ve learnt in my daily life. Looking forward to upcoming live talks every Tuesday and Friday," said Michelle.
