The Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) was established in Dec 1968 to promote mental wellness and to empower people with mental illness in re-building their lives. It is a voluntary welfare organisation (non-governmental and non-profit), which seeks to improve the care and rehabilitation of people with mental illness, and to promote the social and mental well-being of the people of Singapore.
SAMH has a counselling service that caters to individuals, couples and families with psychological, psychiatric and social or relationship problems. Our toll-free helpline provides the first point of contact and assistance to callers who seek information or help for their concerns.
Face-to-face counselling (for individual, marital, family and group) can also be scheduled by appointment. When necessary, clients may be referred to other services or agencies as appropriate.
Length and Frequency of Counselling Session:
- The number and frequency of sessions vary, depending on the nature of problems.
- Each session lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
No consultation fees are charged. Donations are welcome.
