President Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife Mary (fourth and fifth from left) hosted a lohei session for the first time at the Istana yesterday to celebrate the seventh day of Chinese New Year, traditionally known as everybody’s birthday. The guests were beneficiaries, staff and volunteers from the Retirees Centre and the Seniors Activity Centre run by Fei Yue Community Services. They include (from left) Mr Paraman Suppiah, 71, Fei Yue Community Services’ executive director Leng Chin Fai, Mr Goh Tiang Tong, 94, Ms Lim Hum Cheow, 79, and Fei Yue Community Services’ deputy director Lim Lay Muay.
