Thai dancers performing a traditional Thai dance yesterday outside the Fu Lu Shou Si Mian Fo store, which sells Buddhist prayer items, near Waterloo Street.
The area was a hive of activity on the fourth day of the Chinese New Year as crowds took in the festivities. The store owner brought in the Thai dancers in an attempt to encourage customers to donate to the Community Chest.
People touching a statue of a Buddha adorned with ribbons that were purchased by devotees and placed on the statue for good luck and blessings. The proceeds from the ribbon sales will go to the Community Chest.
