Age is no barrier. You can do anything you want if you have the right mindset. Just believe in yourself.

She is, currently, the chairperson in the Indian Activity Executive Committee at West Coast CC. It was her lifetime dream to be a graduate. But her aspirations took a back seat due to family commitments.

But that did not dampen her spirits or enthusiasm. In 2009, she enrolled in the ‘General Studies Programme’ at UniSIM. “It is really not difficult for us seniors to learn new things in life. We could make significant changes in our lives and catch up with whatever we have missed during our younger days. Age is no barrier. You can do anything you want if you have the right mindset. Just believe in yourself.” She says proudly.

Today Rajam is happy, full of self esteem and resourceful. She is able to contribute to the community by being an active grassroots leader. She encourages people around her to make good use of their time. 64 year old Rajam is an inspiration for both young and old.
