Guided Autobiography (GAB) is about self-reflection, reminiscing your past and sharing your life stories and experiences with others.
The GAB programme is based on the belief that individual lives are unique and colourful in our own rights. A good life is not solely defined by physical wealth and social status, but also its purpose and meaning. Wealth is a total of financial health, physical health and spiritual health.
The goal of GAB is to inspire participants to pass on positive values while they journey through their silver and golden years. GAB enables participants to appreciate that their lives are colorful and have meaning and purpose.
The objective of GAB is to create a secure and friendly environment to talk about life issues and share experiences. Participants are encouraged to write or share their life stories as a legacy to their loved ones.
GAB is conducted as a workshop for retirees and seniors. It adopts a thematic approach towards discussion and sharing. The workshop spreads over 8 weeks covering related themes. It is conducted in 8 weekly sessions of 3 hours each comprising short presentation, group discussions and group sharing. Each of the 8 sessions is facilitated by a team of co-facilitators.
