Come down to Pasir Ris Park for the 2019 “Blue Carbon” Wood Sculpture Symposium by Sculpture Society (Singapore)!
Through several activities open to the public during the 5-day symposium from 16 to 20 January 2019, you can try your hand at wood carving and art-making using recycled materials within the park. The local community can also come together to create a public sculpture, as well as learn from experts and artists on wetlands conservation, reducing carbon footprint, community art and woodcarving artistic processes. Their artworks will be drawn from inspirations in the mangrove and coastal ecosystems in Pasir Ris Park, to celebrate World Wetlands Day 2019.
On the last day of the symposium, 20 January, get ready to feast your eyes on the finished nature-inspired masterpieces, exhibited around the mangrove.
