Led by Ding Yi Music Company’s concert master Chin Yen Choong and huqin musician Fred Chan, Ding Yi presents a night of traditional Cantonese music. Together with qinqinmusician Chua Yew Kok, dizi musician Ng Hsien Han and yangqin musician Yick Jue Ru, the quintet will perform their rendition of classic Cantonese tunes including The Bird's Return to the Forest, Autumn Moon Over the Calm Lake and The Sorrow of Lady Wang Zhaojun.
Ding Yi has also invited Guangzhou’s gaohu virtuoso and Cantonese music expert Yu Le Fu, to be the artistic advisor for this lively showcase.
