Dementia and falling are becoming increasingly common among the ageing population in Singapore. To address these concerns, students will be introduced to Dalcroze Eurhythmics known as Music and Movement, an exercise created by a Swiss musician and educator that has proven to be effective in dementia and fall prevention. These rhythmical and social exercises demand concentration, listening as well as hand, leg and voice coordination. Being involved in multi-tasking activities such as the above-mentioned will result in an active and healthy mind and body.
