Percussion fans should not miss this concert performed by Young Artist Award (YAA) recipients! YAA 2011 recipient tabla musician Nawaz Mirajkar and YAA 2015 recipient percussionist Riduan Zalani will perform with SCO in this multicultural music dialogue. Twin percussion brothers from Tianjin, Gao Chao and Gao Yue, will present a classic showdown in Bull Battling The Tiger, followed by Wang Danhong’s Heavenly Ford. SCO Resident Conductor, who was also 2002’s YAA recipient, Quek Ling Kiong, will helm the evening’s concert and round off the celebrations with Simon Kong’s Drumming in Harmony.
