As an umbrella body in the active ageing landscape, with its focus on lifelong learning, senior volunteerism, and positive ageing, C3A works with and through partners to help third agers age well.
The Council for Third Age, C3A, set up in May 2007, is an agency which promotes active ageing in Singapore through public education, outreach and partnerships.
Everyone ages. The key difference is how you age, and the fulfilment you get from it.
C3A is the umbrella body that promotes active ageing in Singapore. As such, we have strategically placed our focus to be in line with the needs of our seniors. Our three focus areas are Positive Ageing, Lifelong Learning and Senior Volunteerism.
The 1st Positive Ageing Conference was held on 30 September 2015. The speakers include Prof. Lim Siong Guan (keynote speaker), Dr. Christopher Cheok and Dr. Tambyah Siok Kuan.
The Active Ageing e-Directory lists service providers that provide learning and volunteering opportunities, leisure activities and counselling care services for seniors.
C3A remains the driving force for active ageing in the community. Through encouraging lifelong learning, volunteerism, and positive ageing amongst 3rd agers, we have fostered a spirit of self-discovery and active living.
